[Salon] why is ceasefire a dirty word?

Funny, the mainstream media never mentions that helping to end violence and siege in Gaza is the only non-bombing option to addressing the Houthi problem. Instead, ceasefire appears to be a dirty word only referred to in passing. This, despite the Houthis saying this is the only thing that will get them to stop attacks in the Red Sea. This, despite the fact that violence in Red Sea, Iraq and Syria where Americans are being attacked, actually went down during the short 'pause' in November. Blaise Malley looked at all of the reports from major mainstream papers and found only 4 mentions of ceasefire as a potential alternative, why?
